Take a stroll along the Old Town
Also called Ciutat Vella, this quarter of Valencia is characterized by antiquated buildings, cobbled streets, town squares and local markets. Some of the key points of attraction are the Marques de Dos Aguas Palace, Valencia Cathedral as well as Central Market. Best explored on foot, this part of the town is akin to taking a journey back in time amidst gothic buildings, vintage arches and historic towers.

Admire Futuristic Buildings at the City of Arts and Sciences
If you are fan of new age architecture and buildings that have unconventional shapes and design, visit the City of Arts and Sciences complex. Some of the noteworthy attractions here are the Hemisfèric, Museu de les Ciències Príncipe Felipe and the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía. Take some time off by indulging in a relaxing walk in the landscaped gardens of Umbracle.

Visit Oceanogràfic
Located in the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, Oceanogràfic is a must visit if you are a fan of the sea, ocean and aquatic life. From walking along underwater tunnels to admiring fish, sharks, dolphins and rays in close quarters, visiting Oceanogràfic is an experience you do not want to miss. After all it is the largest aquarium in Europe. There is an aviary, crocodile house and even an Antartic habitat apart from the screening of shows and movies.

Sample Local Food and Drink
When in Valencia take time to savour some local delights like Paella, tapas and Horchata de Chufa. The latter is a non – alcoholic drink made from tiger nuts. Incidentally, oranges are again a speciality of the city.
