No cook Kaju Modak

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cashews
  • 1/2 cup desiccated coconut
  • 1/4 cup condensed milk
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp saffron milk
  • Pistachio and rose petals for garnish
  • 1 tbsp Ghee for brushing in the mould

Method

  • Grind the cashews in a mixer grinder.
  • Pour in a large flat vessel.
  • Mix in the desiccated coconut, condensed milk, saffron milk, and saffron milk and mix to a smooth and soft dough.
  • Take a modak mould (available online) and grease on both sides wth a little ghee.
  • Sprinkle some crushed pistachios and rose details.
  • Now put a small portion of the modak mix and press the mould. The modak is ready.

This is an easy and quick way to make modak and can be eaten at any time, not just during Ganesh Chaturthi.
