If the Pink city aka Jaipur is on your mind, think no further than the trendy, newly relaunched Ibis Jaipur located near the Civil lines metro station. Situated in the centre of the city, in close proximity to the railway station, tourist attractions as well as shopping bazaars, Ibis Jaipur Civil lines is an ideal choice whether you are travelling on business or leisure.
A perfect balance of style, comfort and functionality, the hotel is known for its unique design concepts, food and facilities. The latter are a perfect reflection of the vibrant culture of Jaipur. Also, in line with the philosophy of the Ibis brand worldwide, Ibis Jaipur Civil lines is flexible, stylish and replete with contemporary, youthful vibes.
Design and art story
The first thing that strikes you as you enter the hotel reception are the colourfully painted auto and bike at the entrance. Quirky and attractive, they have been painted by local artists and are symbolic of the local vibe of Jaipur which is equally charming and colourful. Also, at the entrance is a graphic representation of all things quintessentially Jaipur, whether it is the famous Hawa mahal, Albert Hall, Jantar Mantar or even glimpses of the local lingo.
The reception area which is airy and spacious is tastefully done up in bright hues. Apart from a carrom table, there is also a large book shelf that stocks up on several interesting books for avid readers.
Do not miss the graffiti print boards that are full of whacky and funny words, adjectives and elements that are all things Jaipur. There is plenty of local art too in the form of paintings and framed blocks whether it is Mandana or Bagru.
Rooms
The standard rooms which are close to 180 sq feet are ergonomically designed and boast of facilities like a queen sized bed, airconditioning, shower, safe and electric kettle. Minimalistic yet classy, these rooms are perfect for both the corporate traveller as well as for families.
In order to accomodate an extra occupant, the hotel also has 22 premium rooms that feature three beds and interiors with geo-contextual art. “Given that Jaipur is a city that is popular for family holidays and is also a wedding destination, we made this modification to accomodate a third guest in the rooms” says Saumitra Chaturvedi, General Manager, Ibis Jaipur Civil Lines.
Gastronomic diaries
The multi-cuisine restuarant Spice It is your go to place for both Indian and international cuisine. Apart from Oriental and European fare, the menu also consists of local delicacies like Chur Chur paratha, Lal Maas and even Gatta curry. The buffet served for lunch and dinner is extensive and includes a wide variety of starters, salads and even desserts. In line with the Ibis policy of serving the longest duration breakfast in India, breakfast is served from as early as 4 am an extends upto 12 noon.
“We have ensured that guests get a taste of the local specialities as no visit to Rajasthan or Jaipur is complete without tasting its authentic flavours. Hence a big portion of the menu has native Rajasthani cuisine” adds Saumitra Chaturvedi.
Another key point to note is the fact that there is a small organic garden patch where fresh vegetables and greens are grown and most of the produce is used for consumption in the inhouse restaurant.
Facilites
The hotel boasts of several facilities that have been specially curated and thought of keeping in mind the needs of the corporate, business as well as leisure traveller. They include a well equipped gym, badminton court and even a full fledged cricket pitch.
The swimming pool on the roof top is a wonderful place to rejuvenate and relax after a hard day’s work. If you are the health conscious type, there are even bicycles available on the premises for you take a short spin around the city.
There are two meeting rooms suitable for conferences on the ground floor as well as on the 7th floor. There is an exclusive children’s room for recreation of the kids.
The lounge area is a unique facility meant for business travellers and also incorporates a powder area that is extremely useful for wedding parties.
All in all, Ibis Jaipur Civil lines is indeed a great way to experience the essence of the Pink city! Seriously it cannot get #MoreJaipur than this!
