Looking for a perfect, refreshing summer drink? Try this easy and healthy drink which is the best way to stay cool, especially from the inside. It has the goodness of ragi or finger millet. Here is the recipe of this summer delicacy.

Ingredients

  • Ragi powder – 2 tbsp
  • Water 2 cups
  • Buttermilk 300 ml
  • Roasted cumin 1 tsp
  • Coriander finely chopped 1 tbsp (optional)
  • Finely chopped onion 1 (optional)
  • Salt to taste

Method

  • Mix ragi powder with some water and ensure no lumps.
  • Place water to boil and add the ragi mixture.
  • Mix well, stir continuously till it thickens and allow it to cool.
  • Refrigerate overnight.
  • The next morning take a big bowl, add the buttermilk, salt, roasted cumin, ragi mixture, onions and coriander. Give it a good mix.
  • Serve in a glass. You can optionally add a tempering of mustard oil.

Note: You can skip the onion and coriander if you do not like the taste.
