Come summer 2024 and it is time for one of the most awaited events of the year, the Paris Olympics. Apart from Paris, the coastal city of Marseille is also one of the venues for this sporting extravaganza. An eclectic city with plenty of attractions including famous cathedrals, insightful museums and a bustling port, Marseille is a city that is sure worth a visit. And arguably one of the most famous sights of the city is the heart of its oldest district, Le Panier.

Colourful and vibrant, a visit to Le Panier is akin to visiting an open air museum. The narrow streets of the vicinity are replete with boutique stores, quaint cafes and attractively decorated store fronts. With oodles of unique character and old world charm, this vicinity has a distinctive look thanks to its winding alleys and steep steps.
