While orange may not be everyone’s choice as a primary color that dominates the decor of the house, it is certainly one of my favorites.  This tropical color of the sun for me is a sign of fun, festivity, joy, warmth and brightness.  I use a lot of orange in the house as it has an inherent quality of making things look attractive and ‘generally happy’.

So when I chanced upon a few old, in fact ugly looking fold-able metal chairs and a table, the first thought that crossed my mind was to get them painted a fiery orange.  Considering that the chairs were really worn out, I did not have high hopes on how they would turn out.  But contrary to what I expected, I was pleasantly surprised to see the end result.  The chairs turned out to be a flaming orange with a neat and smooth finish.   Here are some of the ‘before’ and ‘after’ pictures.

I placed them in my balcony which was not really being used.  The area now is a cozy space that can be used to sit down, read or generally relax.

The table is wide enough and comfortable to read, write on and even work.

Do you have any ‘space make-over’ projects to share? I would love to hear from you.
