If you are craving for a truly flavorsome and delicious continental meal, Cafe Mangii is the place to head. With a presence in two premier malls in Bangalore, UB city and Orion Mall, Cafe Mangii has some delectable offerings predominantly in Italian cuisine.
I recently visited the outlet in Orion Mall where in I thoroughly enjoyed a scrumptious meal amidst a wonderful ambience. The setting is informal, airy and comfortable and overlooks a beautiful man-made lake within the mall complex. The variety on the menu is pretty exhaustive and we had a hard time choosing as each dish seemed equally inviting! Given that we were a large group, we could savour quite a few dishes.
To start with:
You can choose from the wide variety of soups and salads to go along with the warm, freshly baked bread served generously with dollops of garlic butter.
The roasted bell pepper soup is particularly refreshing and is a perfect way to start the meal as also the watermelon and feta salad that has plenty of feta, fresh basil and arugula drizzled in mint, honey and balsamic dressing. If you are in a mood to indulge your sweet tooth right away, opt for the chilled absolutely lip-smacking Cafe Mangii special chocolate brownie drink.
The starters or small plates section as it is also called offers several staple as well as unique creations including gorged mushrooms and cream cheese stuffed jalapenos that are creatively called ‘Baked Jalapeno Molten‘. We tried the all time favorite cheese garlic bread, cheddar jalapeno poppers and the Bruschetta assortment that had some innovative toppings.
Apart from burgers, sandwiches and delectable pasta, Cafe Mangii has some ‘sizzling’ sizzlers. We were tempted to try the ‘Broccoli and Quinoa pops‘. It not only looked great but tasted fantastic too apart from being really wholesome. The coconut milk sauce clearly enhanced the experience of the dish.
The pizzas are definitely worth a try to.
Cafe Mangii has recently launched a new dessert menu that is truly drool worthy. They include some specially curated desserts like the Molleux, a classically French preparation which is a 100% chocolate sable, buttery biscuit. The Nutella Surprise Crunch is an eggless delight made from hazelnut creameux and milk chocolate mousse.
Try the Esterhazy which is an almond cake replete with chocolate cream and orange marmalade.
Or the Tiramasu with a twist!
Cafe Mangii is located at Orion Mall, Brigade Gateway, 26/1 Dr. Rajkumar Road, Malleshwaram West, Rajaji Nagar, Bengaluru. For details and booking, check out Cafe Mangii’s website here.
