Few experiences are more fascinating than taking a road trip through the countryside of India. Lush green landscapes, beautiful scenery, farm lands and unique rural scapes make the journey both engaging as well as interesting. Last April I had a chance to visit the Siang region of Arunachal Pradesh and driving through West Siang District made me experience the beauty of the eastern most state in all its spledour. Here are some captures that were taken on the way to Aalo which is the district headquarters.
Most of the houses were inhabited by the Galo trible and had little gardens in front. The flowers were a riot of colours.
Baskets that house livestock hanging in front of the houses is a common sight.
While rice farming is very famous in the Ziro Valley, we did manage to spot some paddy fields on the way to Aalo as well.
